Journal editing problem
This is weird.. I just made an entry (butterfly release), and when I saw that I needed to edit the entry (one picture was misplaced, and others not aligned properly), I saw that I had no edit buttons... I cannot edit the entry. Not only that, my list of other journals and favorite sites is missing. Has this happened to any of you? I'm going to email our journals editor... very perplexing.

My mail is all messed up and my favorite sites have been gone for days. It's frustrating !
No problems here, but maybe I shouldn't speak too soon. B. x
Never had this happen but AOL does strange things sometimes!
Hi Bea,
Just stopping by to say hello and to thank you for stopping by my journal. It's always an adventure in my neck of the woods and I look forward to some dull and boring days to just sit back and enjoy some peace and quiet... oh, I forgot, this is ME we're talking about so the chances of that happening are slim and none and I think slim just left town. lol.... it was nice to meet you and God Bless you and yours...

Happens to me sometimes too, but straightens itself out in a few days.

It has happened to me before. To make the edit buttons and other buttons return, make a comment in your own journal. Then when you are done saving the comment, voila, the buttons reappear! I am not sure if the other journals and fave sites appear at this time, but I imagine they appear eventually. Like I said, this happened to me numerous times before, and the commenting in the entry has worked. I got the hint from another journaler. :)

This doesn't surprise me. All my pictures disappeared from my journal last week. I had to re-post them all. It's about time AOL got their act together.

Yes, Bea...happened to me one time. I just logged out & back on again. It was corrected. It happened to me, too, when I clicked on your journal one time. I noticed all your stuff missing. Couldn't tell if it was me or you. But when I logged off/on, it was corrected again!

Sher, I did log out, and back on again. Problem persisted. I even did a restart on my computer. Still had the problem. Then, right after I saved my comment response to your comment in previous entry, the buttons had returned to my journal page, as had the favorite sites and other journals list. I am grateful. bea
This has happened to me once in a while, Bea. It seems to correct itself on its own. I know the UK journals seem to have this problem continuously. I'm not sure what the fix is. Chris
I have seen it happen occasionally. What I have done to fix it is try to leave a comment on my own journal. I will be prompted to enter my screen name and password (as if in IE). Once I do that, all my buttons are back and I can work around my journal in a normal fashion.

Bea -- in your comments you say that the problem cleared up, so I hope it's okay now. Missing edit buttons seems to affect some folks (esp. AOL UK) more than others, but because you said you couldn't see your right column, it sounds like a something that clearing your browser cache would fix.
Re: other comments -- sorry if I haven't gotten to everyone's questions -- please try mailing me again or leaving a comment and I'll do my best to help you.
Thanks -- Joe
