This is why we travel nearly two hours every Christmas Day to my MIL's home... where else can you get this kind of family closeness?
That's one of my younger great-nephews in the final few seconds... such a talker. His grand-dad is holding him, my BIL.
I know that some family members visit this journal. I don't have digital videos of my side of the family, for we are scattered all over the US... however, for the past 32 years, the family Gilmore has been just over a hundred miles away ... I'm completely and utterly immersed in their traditions and lives. I've missed a couple of Christmases with them due to seasonal illnesses, but when I am well, I wouldn't want to miss this time with them.
Not everyone was able to be here on Christmas Day... and we missed them. Especially our newest family member, Allie Harper and her parents. I hope we'll get to see the others soon.
I'll be posting the second family video soon. It carries amore serious message that reaches beyond our own little family.
Maybe I'll post it for New Year's Day.
Yeah, that's what I'll do!
<grin>
Thanks for visiting!!

Bea, this is absolutely delightful, absolutely. It looks like something professional. Love the music and just love the whole thing. The family Gilmore knows how to celebrate the season. Can't wait for Part II. Chris
Phew! That was exhusting! How do you add the music to the video?
LORI
Lori, there's a program on my computer called Windows MovieMaker. It does all the work. There's a place on the movie timeline there for adding music clips. It uploads my music from MusicMatch jukebox... I haven't been able to get it to upload from Windows media player, though. I'll bet you can find that you have these programs on your computer already. Patrick (daddyleer) gave me tips on how to do it back during the summer. Let me know if you need more info than this. bea
I loved this... you are making me homesick. We have Christmas every year with 50 immediate family members belonging to seven kids and their families. We all bring gifts to one house and exchange. I haven't been home in two years and it's killing me. This year wasn't Christmas because we weren't in the choas. Nice to know that we're not the only crazy family that does Christmas this way. Thanks for sharing with us. Hope you have a Happy New Year.
Take care and Hugs, Chrissie
How wonderful!!! I quite envy you the experience of being able to gather together with so many family members. I can only dream about this.

Too cute, Bea! That's what Christmas is all about - family and the little ones. Oh, and the presents are just the icing on the cake, too. Glad to see everyone enjoying themselves, and I wish you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year for 2008!
Sincerely, Rose~*

Happy New Year Bea :) What wonderful memories you have made here :) God Bless
Marilyn In Miami FL :)
Christmas this year in my neighborhood
in Los Angeles would seem to have meant
a great deal more to families than it did in the
previous five years or so: I'm going by the
three fold increase in Christmas lights
decorating the exterior of homes hereabouts.
I seriously doubt prosperity has increased: more
likely something not easy to name has brought about
a need, an increased appreciation for, FAMILY.
Now I'll go run your video. Thanks for the peek.

Thank you for sharing a wonderful part of your life! This is what Doc's family gathering is like twice a year once over Summer and then the Annual Christmas Get together. Next year Doc and I have been chosen to host the get together, it's such an honor for me. I almost cried when I found out, his family is the only family I've ever really known, so that kind of acceptance....speaks volumes. (Hugs) Indigo
Again, this is a great video, and i love your choice of music!
Lori
