I haven't even gone anywhere, but I'm back. If stepping away from the computer equates to being 'away', then I have been away, although I have managed to visit a few of your journals off and on over the past month.
It's not that I didn't have anything to write about. It's more like I didn't have the mental energy to sit down and write.
This is going to be a short entry because the sun is going down and I want to get to my neighbor's house before it gets dark. They just moved into the house right next door where my widow friend lived. She moved out on the seventh of this month... it was a difficult process for her, packing up and moving, very difficult, and now she has found an apartment in town. She isn't any happier... she's only been alone for just over a year now, and I can't even imagine the inner turmoil, from her perspective and loss. I will visit her soon to see how she is doing.
In the meantime, the new neighbors have moved in.... are moving in. They may have at least one or two school-aged kids. I want to bring my dogs over, to introduce them so when the new folks see my babies, they'll know whose they are.
I'm baking oatmeal cookies while I type this... my "welcome to the neighborhood" treat... to make them feel warm and glad they moved here. So, let me go and make the delivery... I'll have some news when I get back, I'm sure!
I'll come back and post some new student art work later on this evening. Bye now! bea

Good to hear from you, Bea. You go and welcome your neighbours, good on ya :-))
((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGSTOYOU))))))))))))))))Glad to see you back.
Bea, I knew you weren't ignoring me and was hoping you weren't ill. We all step away from time to time. There just isn't enough time in the day to be tied to the computer also. I love the idea of baking cookies for the new neighbors. That's what they always did in my neighborhood growing up. I'll say a prayer for your widowed neighbor. I know my mother did not do well after my father died. They had just celebrated their 50th anniversary a couple of months prior. That's mroe than a huge adjustment. Glad to see you back! Hugs Chris
happy to see your back, I know I have stepped away every now and then. Sometimes you have to do it. I'll be right over for those cookies. Yum.
Hope these new neighbors are as considerate and welcoming as you Bea! If not, send those cookies my way please? I know how that malaise can set in when you just can't turn on the PC for love or money, no matter HOW much you need to talk. It's odd but true, and thankfully you recognize it and post anyway!! I know how you feel. As I said to you on the phone yesterday, it's the same with me. Life is so hectic that there is no time to sit and write from the heart. I like to post something meaningful instead of just because. Also, like I told you, I am having trouble posting from my school laptop and my big computer is giving hassles. Anyway, it's nice to "read" you again - you are a wonderful neighbor! Hope when we move, we move to neighbors like you! Luvya, Caroline
Welcome back, Bea. I have a friend who gave up her daily visits to MySpace for lent. Hope she makes it through. Now that I have started sharing my photos and received so many nice comments, I don't know if I can stop. I can hardly wait to see your new posts that have been brewing in your mind.
Cheers,
Clyde

Welcome back Bea. I hope your neighbours appreciate the gesture. (If not, send them cookies over here.)

I have missed you Bea, but thought you must be busy with work and such. Glad to know you are well and happy, and those cookies sound wonderful. What a good neighbour you are!

Missed seeing you online dear friend. I do understand sometimes our lives outside the computer get the best of us. Hope your neighbors are the friendly sort. I think it's a great idea your taking the dogs over there so they recognize they are yours. (Hugs) Indigo
