How do you spend your dash?

The Dash

A friend sent me this link. It's a brief musical interlude, a poem, and a moment to pause and reflect: how are you spending your dash?

Just click on the link above. The movie is about a minute or so long.

It's worth writing an entry about. But for me, not tonight. I'm catching up on my alerts.

And tomorrow, guess what? I won't be going into my classroom for the first Saturday in five weeks.

I will instead be going to the Aging in Stride 5K walk in Chapel Hill, NC to help raise money for a local senior citizens center. A worthy cause. And, I'll get to see my son for a little while.

But I will be in my classroom for most of Sunday.

Ah, me.

Oh my gosh...you do bring things back for me.   I've saved this (in written form) for many years and often share it and refer to it.   I  obviously like it!  Looking forward to seeing it "live"!
Thanks...

The Dash is a beautiful and moving tribute to life and all the gifts it holds.  It's one of my favorites.  I know that many teachers spend part of their weekends in the classroom.  That is dedication.  Wish there were more teachers out there with your enthusiasm!  Have fun on the walk and spending some time with your son!
Take care!  Michelle
