Dictionary Dance is a Go!

Thank you to all who left comments and sent me emails with suggestions for a name for my activity. It was hard to make a choice, but I decided on Angie's suggestion, Dictionary Dance, because I could see me coming up with a song and dance to go with the lesson. I haven't come up with anything yet, but I can see me coming up with one! Especially song lyrics. Maybe something with a rap ring to it (lots of kids around here like the rap sound. I don't, but if they like it, I'll work with it.)

Again, thank you Karen, Jackie, Nancy, and Angie (hillareeday)!

I'm saving all the other names for naming future games.

What a cool idea! ... and thanks as always for stopping by to visit with us. I notice from reading your journal you even sent along some friends, thanks again. ... What about the old Jackson 5 tune, "ABC" for your dance? There was even a hip hop remake/sample verson cut by a young rapper named Lil' Romeo back several years ago, called "My Baby. If you want to write your own lyrics - maybe there are Karaoke versions of these songs available without lyrics?

Sounds to me like your kids are fortunate to have you for a teacher!  Always looking for some new way for them to learn.  Please keep us posted on the moth!  -  Barbara
