Make a difference in somebody's life. Today.

Maybe you have read this story before, but have you seen it and heard it like this?

Liz (Bethjunebug) sent it to me in the email. Maybe she sent it to you, too. Thank you, Liz!

Whether you are a teacher or not, and in many ways we are all teachers in the world we live in, this story will touch you like it never touched you before. I've read this story several times over the years since I first became a public school teacher, but this time it takes on new meaning. Whether you are a first year teacher, a seven year teacher like myself, or a veteran of twenty years, this movie will either make you cry, or you will cover your mouth so you won't cry too loud while your family goes about their business in another room.

If you have about two minutes, click here at The Teacher Movie by Mary Robinson Reynolds.

If you don't have two minutes, come back when you do. You will be glad you did.

I hadn't seen this one, and it is truly moving.  Thank you for sharing it... It certainly does make you think.  I have met many a "Teddy" in my years at school.  I always try to find the key to these kid's hearts.  It isn't easy.  It's downright hard sometimes... But it sure is worth the struggle.

Enjoy your weekend,

Michelle

Im writting this with tears streaming down my face.  That is the saddest movie I have ever watched.  Yet, the story was so powerful.  I will be sending this to my daughter (who will be a teacher) and hope that she remembers the impact she will make on others lives.  Thank you for sharing this.  :)

Wow!  I'm glad you warned us to be ready for tears.  That was something.  Thank you for sharing.  I'm trying to get caught up with all of my journal reading; so sorry I haven't been around much lately.  I hope you're having a good weekend.

This film made me cry. It is fantastic and so shows what a difference we as teachers can make to a child's life. I am still in touch with some of the kids I have taught and this is one of the best things about becoming a teacher. We can and do makea difference. Thanks for this. Love Conniex

You were so right; it made me cry.  I think that I cried for all of the children that won't ever have a Mrs. Thompson in their life but I smiled through my tears when I thought about the children that have you in their lives.  Dear Bea, thanks for sharing and for all that you do fot the children that you nurture in your classroom.--Sheria
